LEWISTON — L/A Arts will take people back to the 1800s on Sunday, Dec. 6, with “A Dickens of a Night,” the art agency’s principal fundraiser, at Fish Bones American Grill.
The Victorian-themed evening, Victorian dress optional, will begin with a welcome reception at 5 p.m., with John Corrie playing the harpsichord.
Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., beginning with crostini with bruschetta and lobster rangoons, followed by a house salad; a choice of chicken paillard, grilled salmon dijonnaise, deconstructed beef Wellington or baked stuffed portabello mushroom; side dishes; a glass of red or white wine; and dessert.
There will be a silent auction featuring donations from local businesses and friends of L/A Arts, including gift baskets, gift certificates and jewelry. A selection of artwork from L/A Arts Gallery 5’s current exhibition, “Winter Light,” celebrating how art revitalizes the spirit during the short-on-daylight winter season, will also be available for purchase.
A limited amount of tickets, $100 per person ($50 tax deductible), are still available and may be purchased online at www.laarts.org, by calling 782-7228 or at the L/Arts box office, 221 Lisbon St., 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets should be purchased by Nov. 27.
