Ralph A. Beck
1951 – 2009

SCARBOROUGH — Ralph Allen Beck, 58, of Peru, Buckfield and Lyman, passed away peacefully on Dec. 14. He was surrounded by his family and the wonderful staff at the Gosnell Hospice House.

He was born Jan. 30, 1951, in Rumford, the son of Robert and Dorothy Beck. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying a variety of passions including, logging, hunting, trapping and especially caring for his horses, Kandiman and Dakota.

He was also a member of the Masonic Hall and of the Lions Club. He wanted to be remembered as “ruff -tuff and hard to bluff.”

He is survived by his children, Keith Beck, 38, of South Portland, Monica Emmons, 30, of Lyman, Erica Castonguay, 30, of Litchfield and Bobbie Olsen, 34, of Hartford; grandchildren, Ameliah, Hunter, Madison, Katelyn and Tucker; mother, Dorothy (Dot) Beck, 89, of Dixfield; sisters, Vickey Ruel of Manchester, N.H., and Kathy Beck of Canton; and many loving nieces and nephews, Beth, Diane, Ben, Lori, Stephanie, Eric, Corey and Jessica.

He was predeceased by father, Robert Beck; sister, Roberta Beck; and brother, Richard Beck.

His children would like to thank the many wonderful friends and
family who have supported us through this journey with our dad. He will
be in our hearts forever and will be missed by many.
