ERIE, Pa — New addition Lester Hudson made an immediate impact on his new team Wednesday night, tossing in 25 points, grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out six assists to lead the Maine Red Claws to an 81-77 win over Erie.

The win was Maine’s sixth straight, improving the Claws to 6-1. Erie dropped to 2-4.

Hudson, who was sent to Maine by the Boston Celtics on Tuesday, hit four 3-pointers in his Red Claws debut. His Celtics teammate, Bill Walker, added 16 points and Trey Gilder scored 13 points off the bench for Maine.

Trailing 60-52 at the end of the third quarter, the Red Claws stormed back and outscored Erie, 29-17 in the fourth quarter for the win.

Donell Taylor led the Bayhawks with 20 points while Jackie Manuel added 15 points and 10 rebounds.
