RUMFORD — The Red Hat Mommas of Western Maine had their annual party on Dec. 10, at the decorated Sons of Italy Hall. Forty-two Red Hat ladies were in attendance and enjoyed an Italian meal cooked and served by the Sons of Italy ladies.

The Red Hatters brought gifts for Santa’s Helpers, which were delivered the next day in hopes that some children will have a better Christmas.

The ladies were entertained by Sammi Angel, owner of the Front Porch Cafe in Dixfield. Members had a good time watching her change roles for the songs she sang. Christmas songs were sung by all and, also, the birthday song for all ladies who have a December birthday.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the Green Church in Mexico. It will be a mystery meal.
