First Auburn seniors
AUBURN — The First Auburn Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at the Hasty Community Center. The board of directors will meet at 10 a.m.
Meal tickets will be on sale, for $4, for a spaghetti dinner to be held on Wednesday, Jan. 20. Monthly raffles and bingo will follow.
Members enjoyed a Christmas dinner on Dec. 16 at the Methodist Church. Pot of gold winners were Midge Demers, Gerry Timberlake, Norma Masse (twice), Ralph Lashua, Cecile Burgoin, Joan Webb, Virginia Trafford, Gerry Brushwein and Marilyn Redmun.
Members are reminded that if school is cancelled due to the weather, the meeting will be cancelled.
Cribbage results
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the
Multi-Purpose Center on Dec 31 were: first, Roger Patry and Joan
Sampson; second, Clara Mennealy and Val Asselin; third, Robert
Cielinski and Linda Dostie Scott; fourth, Anna Faucher and Anita
Cusson; fifth, Connie St. Pierre and Gary David.
Sue Dunlap was welcomed to the league. The next game will be played
at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7. For further information, call Roger Labbe

Bridge play
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Jan. 4 were as follows: first, Lue Bilodeau and Luke Merry; second, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; third, Ed Lee and Rosemarie Goodwin.
Games are played at 9 a.m. Monday and Tuesday and at 6:30 p.m.

Scholarship open
POLAND — Applications are being accepted for the Bruce M.
Whittier Memorial Scholarship. Two $,1000 scholarships for further
education will be awarded this year to graduating seniors from Poland
Regional High School. Applicants may apply through their high school
guidance department, who will provide criteria. Applications must be
received no later than Saturday, April 3.
