AUBURN — A three-vehicle accident on Summer Street sent seven people to the hospital Saturday night, police said.

Most of the injuries were minor. One of the injuries was serious but not life-threatening, police said. All were taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

A Jeep driven by Ian Schubert, 22, of Boothbay crossed over the center line and crashed into two other vehicles: a Nissan SUV driven by Linwood Dumney, 30, of Poland and a Toyota SUV, driven by Kristen Hainey, 39, of Fryeburg, police said. Alcohol is being investigated in connection with the crash, Lt. Tim Cougle said

All drivers and passengers were seatbelted, he said.

The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on outer Summer Street near Farmer Whiting’s, police said. All vehicles were towed.
