DURHAM — Black ice was blamed for a head-on crash on Route 136 on Sunday night.
Maine State Police Trooper Joe Bureau said Edward Donnarumma, 33, of Durham, was driving south when he lost control of his SUV on black ice and skidded into a Subaru operated by Erik Ryder, 25, also of Durham. Neither driver was injured.
Bureau estimated combined damage to Ryder’s 1995 Subaru and Donnarumma’s 2007 Hyundai SUV at $10,000 in the 9 p.m. crash. Durham Fire and Rescue helped with traffic control.
