NORWAY — Western Maine Health Vice President of Clinical Services, M. Patricia Cook, RN, MBA, EdD, announced recently that Stephens Memorial Hospital Registered Nurse Shannon Santos, who is employed as an emergency room nurse, recently completed a Pediatric Advanced Life Support provider course.

The PALS program is designed to teach rapid evaluation and interventions for infants and children near or in respiratory or cardiac arrest.

Santos who has been employed at SMH for nearly a year, received her nursing degree at CMMC School of Nursing. She lives in South Paris.
