LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon Historical Society held their monthly meeting on Jan. 13 with antiques being brought in to display for the evening. Many cherished keepsakes were on display again this year, one being an antique pair of sunglasses being brought in by Society member and former Lisbon High School English teacher, Merton Ricker (in photo), along with a couple butter presses from years ago.
The Society will meet Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. at MTM Center, Rooms 5 and 6, at 18 School St. Use the rear entrance. Merton Ricker will give a presentation on Valentine customs celebrated throughout the years in many parts of the world. Everyone is encouraged to bring a homemade Valentine to swap with a fellow member or guest. A social with Valentine treats will be held after the meeting.
