Daryn Slover/Sun Journal

Ayanthi Reese of
Lewiston did not let the lack of snow keep her from making a snowman at the
Auburn Public Library on Friday. Reese and her mother, Soni, participated in Family Snowman Time, an event associated with
the Auburn Winter Festival. The library lawn is short on snow, so the
event was taken inside where snowman-themed activities took place. Children
pinned the nose on the snowman and made snowman puppets. The books “Snowmen at
Night,” “Straight to the Pole” and “Snow Day!” were read to the children
and snowman jokes were tossed
about.
