RANGELEY — A run-off election will be held Thursday, Feb. 11, to determine who will fill a vacant position on the new regional school board.
Harold Schaetzle, a current Rangeley school board member, and Shepard Golub, are on the ballot for the run-off election.
They were two of eight write-in candidates who received one vote each during the election of the new Regional School Unit 78 board members on Jan. 19. The other write-ins withdrew their names, Town Clerk Ethna Thompson said.
Polls will be open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Rangeley Town Office.
The new district serves Rangeley, and Dallas, Sandy River and Magalloway plantations.
