Food class

LEWISTON — The St. Mary’s Nutrition Center will offer a class titled “Where does your food come from: An exploration of food systems through conversation, science and taste,” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, starting Feb. 11.

The four-week class is for adults interested in learning more about the
complexities of the food system. It will meet at St. Mary’s Nutrition Center, 208 Bates St.

The class fee is a sliding scale of $5 to $50 and the class will be limited to 15 participants. There will be homework between each class.

Chapter meeting

LEWISTON — The Maine Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Marco’s Restaurante, 12 Mollison Way. The board meeting will begin at 5:15 p.m. and members are welcome to attend. A social will start at 6 p.m., followed by a buffet at 6:30 p.m., and the membership meeting and program.
