FARMINGTON — The local chapter of the Small Woodland Owners’ Association of Maine
will have a free workshop from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Feb. 20, at Clifford Woods.
There will be a field tour of an active harvest. Master Loggers Matthew and Lloyd Smith and Foresters Peter Tracy and Patty Cormier will speak about preparing for a harvest, working with professionals, management planning and deciding whether to have a harvest.
Anyone who owns a piece of woodland or who is a decision maker for one and are considering a harvest at some point, are encouraged to attend.
