LEWISTON — The AARP Androscoggin Chapter 4077 will meet at 1:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St. The speaker will be Eric Lynes, director of disaster services for the Amercian Red Cross – United Valley Chapter.

Lynes was named director of disaster services on Oct. 1, 2005. His primary responsibility is to ensure that the United Valley Chapter has the capacity to help communities prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

His discussion will be focused on the five lines of service the Red Cross is responsible for. The discussion will take a look at how Red Cross volunteers provide these vital services.

Refreshments will be served. The board members will meet at 12:30 p.m., prior to the general meeting.
