Climbers Larry Penney and Josh Gorham from Wireless Construction Inc. of Standish are shown working this week on the Rice Hill cell tower in Waterford installing antennas and cable for US Cellular. The antennas are located at 170 feet above the ground. The two men are part of a four-member crew that is expected to have completed its task by week’s end. FairPoint Communications still needs to run a fiber optic cable from Rt. 35 to the tower before a cell signal will be available.
