Carl F. Rowe
1933 – 2010

LEWISTON – Carl F. Rowe Sr., 76, a resident of Auburn, died early Sunday, Feb. 21, with his family by his side at Central Maine Medical Center, after a long illness.

 He was born in Lewiston, July 24, 1933, the son of Arnold Carlton and Madeline (Kimball) Rowe. He attended Auburn schools and was a 1954 graduate of Edward Little High School.

He began his painting career with his grandfather, Francis Kimball, whom he succeeded. He went on to become a very well known talent as a painter and was most proud of his work, until he retired in 1972.

 Survivors include one son, Carl F. Rowe Jr., and his wife, Deanna, of Auburn; one daughter, Eileen Hale, and her husband, Allan, of Center Harbor, N.H.; one brother, Sheldon Rowe, and his wife, Patricia, of Windsor; three grandchildren, Dillon Rowe, Carter Hale and Benjamin Ames; and his former wife, Elaine Garnett, of Lisbon.
