TURNER — Directors of Regional School Unit 52 will work on the 2010-11 budget, beginning at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at Tripp Middle School library.
The system is facing a $1,043,442 loss in revenue, which means a tax rate increase of $1.50 for Turner, 92 cents for Greene and $1.23 Leeds.
The unprecedented financial challenges will be reviewed Thursday night, Superintendent Darlene Burdin said. She said in a report Feb. 10 that short- and long-term solutions are needed.
