The American Legion Anderson-Staples Post 112 in Oxford recently presented Certificates of Honor and Gratitude to Lance Corporal Eric C. Harkins and Private Thomas P. Harkins, members of the U.S. Marines. Receiving the certificates for her grandsons, in the event of them being on active duty, was Paula Harkins. Harkins was also presented with a Blue Star Banner to hang in the family front window, to show pride in having loved ones in military service.
