Grafting basics

STRONG — The Strong Historical Society will host “The Basics of Grafting” with Dave Fuller of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension on Wednesday, April 7.

Most gardeners can successfully graft fruit trees with a little practice, Fuller said.

The society’s potluck supper will start at 6 p. m. at the society home on Main Street. After a short business meeting at 7 p. m., Fuller will show the way to keep those old heritage varieties going for generations to come.

There is no charge for the event, but bring a dish to share. For more information, call 684-3613 or 684-2195.
