LEWISTON — Content for the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council’s soon-to-be-debuted DVD titled “Lewiston In the Eyes of Youth” was reviewed recently, with members sorting through 388 pictures that they or members of the community had taken. The final content will provide a visual perspective of why LYAC believes Lewiston is a great place to live, work, play and raise a family.

In addition to selecting photos, the group worked with Russ Dillingham, Sun Journal photographer, to film sound bites for inclusion on the DVD. The many comments included feeling safe in Lewiston, appreciating the community’s many festivals, the city’s diversity, a place for people to gather together and the Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary.

The DVD will debut at the group’s April 16 youth summit at the Lewiston Municipal Armory, and each high school in Androscoggin County has been invited to send 10 youth to attend the day-long event.
