PORTLAND — The Maine Mineralogical & Geological Society will present the 27th annual Gem and Mineral Show Saturday and Sunday, April 17-18, on the University of Southern Maine campus.

Featured will be dealers presenting jewelry, gems and minerals from around the world, children’s attractions, demonstrations of gold panning and gem cutting, a silent auction, displays and door prizes.

The show will run from 10 a.m.  to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Sullivan Gymnasium, 96 Falmouth St. Tickets are $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and teens under 18; children 12 and under admitted free.
