AUBURN — Doris L. Pelletier, 84, died Thursday, May 27, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Berlin, N.H., on Dec. 5, 1925, a daughter of George and Sarah (Therrien) Thibodeau. After her family moved to Maine, she lived her entire life in Auburn.

She married Patrick Pelletier on Oct. 3, 1942. They were married for 55 years before he passed away in 1997.

She spent her adult life as a homemaker, and together with Patrick, they worked and raised their family of five children in this community. She was a faithful member of St. Louis Parish and later in life, Sacred Heart Church in Auburn. She was a member of the New Auburn Senior Citizens of Saint Louis. She had a great love of playing Beano and cards, especially with her wonderful friends at the Auburn Esplanade, Great Falls Plaza. She enjoyed spending summers at her camp on Cobbossee Lake in Monmouth. Her greatest enjoyments were being with her family and attending many events with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by five children, Robert Pelletier and his wife, Suzanne, of Cumberland, Richard Pelletier and his wife, Sandy, of Perry, Jeanne Sylvester and her husband, Scott, of Auburn, Pauline Berube and her husband, Thomas, of Monmouth and Roger Pelletier and his wife, Sherri, of Greene; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her special sister-in-law, Jeannette Thibodeau, of Gorham, N.H.

Doris was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Patrick; and her parents; two sisters; and four brothers.
