AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer a new team-building workshop, “No Employee is an Island,” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays, July 14 and 21. The cost is $165 including materials.
In the program, participants will learn how to create work teams that operate more efficiently and effectively. Beginning with an understanding of the stages of team development, students will learn how to create team goals and processes, measure team success, assess their own work teams and create a plan to build a high performance team.
Susan deGrandpre will facilitate the workshop. Work teams from all types of business and industry are encouraged to attend.
deGrandpre has a master’s degree in education from the University of Southern Maine and a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the University of Massachusetts. She has been adjunct faculty at St. Joseph’s College and Southern Maine Community College. Her corporate experience includes L.L. Bean and Unum, where she held leadership positions in customer service.
