A young boy is attended to by emergency workers after the car he was riding in, middle, was involved in an accident in the parking lot of South of the Border Mexican Restaurant in Lewiston on Tuesday afternoon. According to witnesses, Seynab Ali, of Lewiston (middle right) was turning onto Sabattus Street from Dow Avenue and did not see a truck coming down Sabattus Street. In order to avoid the truck, she turned into the parking lot of the restaurant, hitting two parked cars: a Subaru owned by Diane Carnie, of Poland, and four-door sedan owned by Bruce Roy of Lewiston. The young boy, 11-year-old Muktar Abas, 11, of Lewiston, was the only person injured in the accident. He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center with minor injuries.
