Donations for troops
RUMFORD — The Napoleon Ouellette American Legion Auxiliary Unit 24 is seeking donations to send to troops overseas through the Comforts From Home program.
All nonperishable food items, including cookies, candy, ramen noodles, flavored drink packets, snacks, puzzles books or baby wipes can be dropped off at the American Legion or call Tricia at 357-3289 for additional information.
Pancake breakfast
CANTON — A pancake breakfast will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, July 3, at Whitney Lodge. There will be pancakes, bacon and orange juice. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Proceeds will benefit the Whitney Lodge Build Fund, for a new roof.
DOI outing
ROXBURY — Members of St. Timothy Circle 504 , Daughters of Isabella, will have their summer outing on Sunday, July 11, at Silver Lake Campground. A corporate communion with a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Chapel will take place before the outing.
Committee members are Jolene Lovejoy and Evelyn Bodemer, chairwomen, Alfreda Kaubris, Mary Beauchesne, Amelia DeSalle, Marcelle Miller, Judy Collette and Francis Kersey. Committee members will furnish the desserts. Any member is welcome to bring a salad. Members of the Knights of Columbus will cook hamburgers and hot dogs.
