RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Cecil E. Burns was celebrated Friday at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Alfred Jacques was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server and Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “You Raise Me Up,” “On Eagles Wings” and “Fly Like A Bird.” Readings were done by his niece Maryann Burns and his son Dennis Burns. The eulogy was given by his daughter Jolene Lovejoy. Pallbearers were Mark Burns, Marcia LaPierre, Maryann Burns, John Milledge, Jack Dawson and Jim Kelly. Giftbearers were his grandchildren, Kristin Boerger, Lael Graham, and Angela Dreiling. Interment was in St. John Cemetery. Military Honors were rendered by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program. Services were under the care of SG Thibault Funeral Home.
