AUBURN — The L-A Harley Band, in partnership with Maine Street Music Lessons, will play a benefit concert from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, July 9, at the VFW hall, 588 Minot Ave.

All proceeds will go toward buying and sending guitars and accessories to American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Cash donations will be accepted at the door. Attendees are encouraged to donate old or unwanted electric and acoustic guitars and accessories.

All instruments will be given makeovers, courtesy of Main Street Music Lessons and Instrument Repair.

The event will also feature a raffle, including a .30-06 from J.T. Reid’s Guns, a photo session at North Atlantic Studios and a number of gift certificates to local merchants. For more information, contact Steve Grenier, 754-1233.
