AUBURN – NAPA Auto Parts broke out of a three game-losing streak in a big way with a convincing 15-0 win against the Twin Cities Firefighters at Lakeview Field.

The bats came alive early as NAPA scored four runs in the first inning, six in the second and five more through the third and fourth to end the game by the mercy rule after the top of the fifth. Kevin Pontbriand was the outstanding player in the field for NAPA, assisting 11 of L/A’s 15 outs.

Dave Pontbriand and Justin Robash each were perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3. Pontbriand scored three runs and cranked and double and a triple to drive in three. Robash scored twice to go with two 2 doubles and an RBI.

Demetrius Starks and Kevin Pontbriand each went 2-for-2. Starks scored a run to complement a double, a triple, a sacrifice fly and three RBIs. Pontbriand had a walk, three runs scored, a double and two RBIs.
