DURHAM — Motorists using Runaround Pond Road from West Durham to North Pownal are being advised that it will be closed to all through-traffic for six weeks, from Monday, July 19, through Sunday, Aug. 29.
The road is being closed in order to replace the bridge spanning Runaround Pond. A detour to redirect traffic will be posted. Runaround Park Recreation area will remain accessible, the project manager said.
It is a Maine Department of Transportation-funded project being done by CPM Constructors of Freeport.
