Brown, who plays traditional fiddle and sings bluegrass, is currently in the studio working on CD No. 5, not yet titled and slated for release later this year. The two Maine bands will perform in the Swig ‘n Smelt Pub in the mountain’s base lodge. The pub will open at 4 p.m. on Friday. No tickets required. “People are also welcome to bring their own instruments for some spontaneous playing in addition to the local bands performing in the pub. It will be a great way to kick off a weekend of music and fun,” said Mark Robie, festival director.
