LISBON — Library Director Diane Nadeau and Children’s Librarian Jo-Jean Keller will don pink hard hats and Public Works Department T-shirts Thursday for a six hour “wash.”
The pair pledged that if the children in the Lisbon Library’s summer reading program surpassed last years total of 1,460 books read, they would wash Public Works vehicles for a day in the town office parking lot.
This year, 150 children participated and read a total of 1,546 books.
In return, Nadeau and Keller will be washing Public Works trucks from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. Thursday, rain or shine.
