WINTHROP— Acclaimed Maine mystery novelist Gerry Boyle will discuss his latest book at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Charles M. Bailey Public Library.

The book, “Damaged Goods,” is the ninth in Boyle’s mystery series featuring Maine journalist Jack McMorrow.

A former journalist, Boyle was a columnist for the Waterville Morning Sentinel. His columns, many of which explored the lives of Mainers, also appeared for many years in the Kennebec Journal.

Boyle, who lives in China, is the author of 10 novels, including “Port City Shakedown,” a mystery set on the Portland waterfront. He has contributed essays to noted anthologies about Maine, including “A Place Called Maine,” published by Down East Books.
