Incident Report Statistics:

Between 6 a.m. Aug. 1 and 6 a.m. Aug. 8, patrol officers responded to 114 complaints.

Arrests/Summonses:

On Aug. 1 – 11:15 p.m., a 13-year-old female and 16-year-old male of Rumford and a 15-year-old female of Mexico along with Tina Thomas, 39, of Rumford and Billie Joe Bryant, 38, of Mexico were charged with violating Rumford’s curfew ordinance. For more information on the ordinance www.rumfordmaine.net or www.facebook.com/rumfordpd. All involved are scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 7.

On Aug. 2 – 6:03 p.m., Michelle Dias, 27, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Donald Miller with operating under the influence, and operating without a license (beyond conditions) on Falmouth Street. Dias posted $1,300 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 5.

On Aug. 3 – 12:15 p.m., Daniel Marshall, 24, of Mexico was charged by Cpl. Douglas Maifeld on a warrant for theft and stealing drugs after turning himself in at the Police Department. Marshall was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

On Aug. 4 – 11:10 p.m., a 13- and 14-year-old female juveniles of Rumford along with Tara Eustis, 38, of Rumford were charged with violating Rumford’s curfew ordinance. All involved are scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 5.

On Aug. 4 – 11:23 p.m., a 12-year-old male juvenile of Rumford along with James Anderson, 39, of Rumford were charged with violating Rumford’s curfew ordinance. All involved are scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 5.

On Aug. 4 – 11:45 p.m., three female juveniles, ages 16 and 17, of Rumford along with Therese Lemay, 38, of Rumford were charged with violating Rumford’s curfew ordinance. All involved are scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 5.

On Aug. 5 – 1:26 p.m., Gilbert Scott, 52, of Peru was charged by Ptl. Donald Miller with criminal threatening on Congress Street. Scott posted $160 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 5.

On Aug. 5 – 11:15 p.m., Cody Magoon, 18, of Mexico was charged by Sgt. Tracey Higley with illegal possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on Homser Lane. Magoon is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 5.

On Aug. 6 – 2:20 a.m., Timothy Labrecque, 20, of Rumford was charged by Sgt. Tracey Higley with furnishing alcohol to a minor on Portland Street. Labrecque is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 5.

On Aug. 6 – 2:20 a.m., Marisa Moors, 18, of Rumford was charged by Sgt. Tracey Higley with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor on Portland Street. Moors is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 5.

On Aug. 6 – 10:45 a.m., Theresa Leighton, 37, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Lawrence Winson on a warrant for operating after suspension on Spruce Street. Leighton was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

On Aug. 7 – 1:35 p.m., 17-year-old Rumford male was charged by Ptl. Lawrence Winson with criminal speed on Route 108. The juvenile is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 2.

Assault:

On Aug. 6 – 3:16 p.m., Ptl. Winson investigated an incident of a juvenile being struck by a BB. Family chose to not press charges.

Burglary:

On Aug. 2 – 11:48 a.m., Cpl. Maifeld investigated an incident where someone forcibly entered a building owned by Time Warner on Route 2. Nothing appeared to be taken and the incident is under investigation by the Criminal Investigative Division.

On Aug. 2 – 11:48 a.m., Sgt Bernard is investigating an incident where someone entered a Maine Avenue residence and stole medication and a laptop valued at $500.

Criminal Mischief:

On Aug. 1 – 4:17 p.m., Ptl. Miller investigated an incident where a vehicle was hit by paint balls. Juveniles located and spoken to. No damage.

On Aug. 2 – 11:48 a.m., Cpl. Maifeld is investigating an incident where a pool liner was cut on Front Street. Approximately $50 in damages.

Theft:

On Aug. 3 – 4:28 p.m., Cpl. Maifeld is investigating the theft of two bicycles valued at $100 from a garage on Androscoggin Avenue.

Wanted

Linda Bisson, 54, of Peru is wanted on a Rumford District Court warrant for failure to appear for negotiating a worthless instrument and operating after suspension.
