RUMFORD – Madeline P. Littlehale, 71, of Littlehale Road, North Andover, died Wednesday, Aug. 11 at the Rumford Hospital in Rumford, with loved ones by her side.
She was born in Rumford Center on July 19, 1939, a daughter of Lester and Leona (Peare) Sawyer and attended Rumford schools.
Madeline had been employed by the U.S. Forestry Service as a C.E.S.E.P. worker for several years. She was a member of the Rumford Grange. She especially enjoyed doing her arts and crafts, especially needlepoint and quilting.
She was married in Rumford on Aug. 31, 1955, to Edward S. Littlehale, who died in Norway, Aug. 15, 2009.
Survivors include a sister, Ina A. Sawyer of Chelsea; and several nieces and nephews.
