John Bazinet, missionary to Guatemala and member of the Fellowship Church of Greene, was the special speaker at the Jesus Party Pentecostal Kids’ Church “Back to School” service on Aug. 6. Bazinet was joined by the Rev. Bertha and Ray Jacqmin from Oasis Ministries who returned to show the children the result of a seed that had been planted in a grapefruit peel on April 22 as an Earth Day project. Children viewed a video titled “Decisions and Conflicts” on how to deal with schoolyard bullies and peer pressure. Children also enjoyed pizza, ice cream and popcorn. Pictured in front, from left, are Ray Jacqmin; Bertha Jacqmin; James, Anna and Brandon Toothaker; back, Bazinet and Jesus Party volunteer, Jerry Derboghosian.
