Because several people asked me at the recent street fair in Dixfield, I want to clarify that Patriot Renewables had no involvement in Wednesday’s wind power meeting at Dirigo High School. Apparently, the meeting was hosted by several wind power opponents in the area.
As you know, Dixfield has had a wind power moratorium in place since October 2009. Out of respect for the town and the process, we chose not to hold any public meetings during the moratorium period.
If the town enacts an ordinance that allows for a wind power project on Colonel Holman Mountain, we will hold our own public meetings as we begin the development process.
