Art funding available

PORTLAND  — Small to medium-sized organizations involved in indigenous, ethnic or rural arts programs or projects, particularly those that serve areas with limited access to arts activities, are encouraged to apply for funding from the Maine Community Foundation’s Expansion Arts Fund.

Bridge play

OXFORD — The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Aug. 20 in the Recreation Department building, King Street. A seven-table Mitchell movement was played. Flight A n/s winners were: first, Pete Cummings and Dick Allen; second, RoseMarie Goodwin and Luke Merry; third, Claire Lyons and Marta Clements.

Flight A e/w winners were: first, Penny and Bob Thomas, also first in flight B; second, Mike Quinn and Richard Balian; third, Neenie Kivus and David Lock.

Flight B and C n/s results were: first, Jim Krainin and Milton McKeen; second, Ruth and Ray Tyler; third, Bill Tedfor and Dave Kallander. 

Flight B and C e/w were Suzanne Dame Andrews and Carol Curran, second in B and first in C. Third in B were Denny Raymond and Hank Sakrison, second in C. Another game will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27. All bridge players are invited and a partner is guaranteed. Karaoke

NORWAY — Karaoke with The Old Crows will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at the American Legion Post 82. No food will be available. Cost is $6 and all proceeds will go to the Post.
