AARP

LEWISTON — The Androscoggin Chapter 4077 of AARP will meet at 1:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, at the Multi-Purpose Center on Birch Street. Everyone who is a member of the National AARP is invited to attend.

Refreshments will be served. There will also be a board meeting prior to the general meeting at 12:30 p.m.

Girl Scouts

AUBURN — Girl Scouts of Maine will host an “All Out for Girl Scouts” event from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the United Methodist Church of Auburn, 439 Park Ave.

Girls and adults are invited to attend the event to find out about the many ways to participate in Girl Scouting. Girls will have an opportunity to sample some activities and adults will also learn about becoming a volunteer.

Literary union

AUBURN — The Woman’s Literary Union will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at the clubhouse, 19 Elm St. The program will be “A Gardener’s Trip to France,” presented by Jody Goodwin.

Goodwin is know for her gardens in and around Turner, as well as the featured garden columnist in the Sun Journal Sunday newspaper. Refreshments will be served and the public is welcome. Hospitality is provided Betty Turgeon.
