PARIS — Scott Ouellette kept the ball out of the net, while four teammates scored goals as Lewiston defeated Oxford Hill 4-0 in KVAC boys’ soccer action Friday.

Senior Eric Hall started the scoring early with a goal assisted by John McDonough. Benji Saban put the Blue Devils up 2-0 with a goal off a pass from teammate Yusuf Yama. Dahir Muktar finished the first-half scoring with a score assisted by senior Chase Cote. Eric Morin rounded out the scoring with an early second half score with an assist from Caleb Leino.

Oxford Hills goalie Matt McVetty made 16 saves in the loss. Ouellette stopped six shots in goal for Lewiston (5-2) for the shutout.

Cape Elizabeth 7, Poland 0

POLAND — Junior forward Tim LaVallee scored a pair of goals to lead Cape Elizabeth to a 7-0 blanking over Poland in WMC boys’ soccer action Friday afternoon.

The Capers (6-0) came out strong, scoring three first-half goals. Alex Diaz and Marcus Cloutier shared a goal apiece with LaVallee in the first frame.

Goalie Dillon Douglass was battered in goal for the Knights (1-5), making 20 saves in the losing effort. Brett Parker turned back six shots in net for Cape Elizabeth for the win.

Brunswick 2, EL 0

BRUNSWICK — Matt Kasadian scored the opening goal as Brunswick battled tough for a 2-0 triumph over Edward Little in KVAC boys’ soccer action Friday.

Kasadian scored his goal from 25 yards out, and found the top right corner of the cage for the Dragons (7-0).

The Red Eddies (3-4) outshot Brunswick by a 13-7 margin, but could not send the ball past the Dragons’ netminder.

Goalie Jeremy Hamm made four saves for Edward Little, while Seth Holmblad prevented seven for Brunswick in the winning effort.

Mt. Abram 2, Dirigo 2

DIXFIELD — Dirigo’s Hunter Ross scored an unassisted goal with 3:49 remaining in regulation to tie the score at two and that is how it would end up as Mt. Abram and Dirigo played to a 2-2 tie in boys’ soccer action.

Sophomore T.J. Frost opened the scoring for the Cougars (5-1-1) on a goal assisted by Cody St. Germain. The Roadrunners answered with Jared Cluckey evening the score by picking up a loose ball in front for the equalizer.

Ethan Boyd then put Mt. Abram’s (3-1-3) ahead 2-1 at the half with an unassisted goal. The score remained 2-1 until Ross produced the tying score.

Dirigo netminder Caleb Turner saved seven shots, while Josh Beedy turned away nine for the Roadrunners.

Mtn. Valley 1, Jay 0

JAY — Mountain Valley eeked out their first win of the season with an own goal in a 1-0 tilt over Jay in MVC boys’ soccer action Friday.

Josh Rainey got credit for the tally as his shot deflected off a defender and entered the cage at the lower right corner for the Falcons (1-6).

Goalie Tyler Gervais made 15 saves for the Tigers ( 0-6-1), while Kyle Gauvin turned back 10 shots to earn the win in net for Mountain Valley.
