Lodge meeting

CANTON — Whitney Lodge 167 A.F. and A.M. will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7. The meeting will be preceded by a casserole supper at 6:30 p.m. All Master Masons are welcome.

Benefit supper

CARTHAGE — A benefit supper will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, for Jo-Ann Houghton Walker who has been back and forth from CMMC and Rumford Hospital since the beginning of July due to a long term illness. The supper will take place at the Carthage Grange Hall.

There will be a 50/50 raffle and Chinese auction tickets will go on sale at 4 p.m. with the drawings at 7 p.m. The supper will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. and will include spaghetti, coleslaw, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, rolls and pies.

Cost for adults is $6; children 12 and under, $3.

Board meeting

NORWAY — The board of directors of Community Concepts Inc. will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the Norway Town Office Complex. Members of the public are welcome to attend. For more information, call 739-6564.

Foliage event

BETHEL — The Bethel Regional Airport will hold its second annual fall foliage community event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16. Rain date will be Oct. 17.

Scenic rides will be offered in exchange for a minimum $20 donation. Various types of aircraft will be on display and the powered parachutes will conduct an aerial demonstration. Informational displays and music will be at the event as well as burgers, hot dogs, chips and beverages. The event is open to the public. Admission is free. Proceeds will benefit the airport’s special event fund.
