Republicans do not deserve voters’ support in November. Congressional Republicans have acted like spoiled, tantrum-throwing children since the last election. They are sheep, or cowards, in not standing up to their leadership.
They offer only the same ideas that got the country into the shape it is in today. They want to hand more breaks and freedom to corporate America — the same greedy corporate leaders who ship jobs overseas, cut benefits, have fewer employees doing more for less income. Those business leaders have set up an economy with the greatest disparity in ages, while they get bonuses even if they fail.
Why should we vote for more of that?
If Republicans had any new ideas during the last two years instead of saying “no” and sitting on their hands, the economy might be in better shape.
The Bush administration took eight years to create the mess; to expect President Barack Obama to repair it all in two years is naive at best.
Average Americans are hurting and angry. Handing the economy back to the Republicans and their corporate allies will not help average Americans.
President Obama and the Democrats need two more years to save the middle class.
