Marti Chabot of Auburn reads the children’s book “Good Teddy” to her 2-year-old grandson, Joshua Allard, during the “Trunk or Treat” gathering at the Marston’s Corner Baptist Church in Auburn on Saturday. Parishioners decorated the trunks of their vehicles with themes such as farming, Christmas, sports, fall and a children’s book nook during the Halloween event. Children in costumes gathered candy as they went from trunk to trunk. “We hope to have this every year,” event organizer Bre Allard said.
