FARMINGTON — Old South First Congregational Church’s annual harvest supper coordinators, Brenda Scribner and Stan Wheeler, are busy with the planning and preparation for the once a year event, to be held Saturday, Nov. 6.

The benefit buffet style supper will offer roast turkey and baked ham, along with mashed potatoes, stuffing, squash, onions, rolls, cranberry jelly, beverages and homemade pies for dessert. Supper will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. at the church on Main Street. The cost has been lowered to $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12 years of age. Family discounts will be available.

Proceeds from the supper benefit the church’s youth summer camp scholarship program. The program provides youth of Old South Church families financial assistance to attend the Maine UCC Conference summer church camp, Pilgrim Lodge, located on Cobbosecontee Lake in Litchfield.

Hundreds of youth have attended Pilgrim Lodge with scholarships made possible by the annual harvest supper since the scholarship program began. For further information, contact the church office at 778-0424.
