RUMFORD — A benefit for Tammy (Martin) Philbrick of Mexico will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Rumford Eagles Bingo Hall on Oxford Avenue.

A spaghetti and meatball dinner with baked goods and snacks will be served for a cost of $5. There will also be a Chinese auction, a 50/50 and other raffles. There will be a DJ and karaoke for entertainment.

Philbrick was employed as a cook and waitress at The Deluxe Diner. She has been diagnosed with liver disease and is making trips to Boston to find out when she will receive a liver transplant. The doctors in Maine believed that her cirrhosis was from years of undiagnosed ulcerative colitis.

The benefit will help pay for costs of traveling to and from the Lahey Clinic, and keeping up with the household while she is undergoing treatment.
