DIXFIELD — The following incidents were handled by the Dixfield Police Department.
Accidents
* Vehicles driven by Melissa A. Bryant, 31, Dixfield, and Lawrence J. Davenport, 61, Valley Road, Peru, collided at 8:07 p.m. Oct. 29 on Weld Street. Bryant’s 2002 four-door GMC sustained $3,500 damage. Davenport’s 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck sustained $500 damage.
* A vehicle driven by Jeremy J. Bellegarde, 21, Towel Road, Dixfield, struck a fire hydrant at the corner of Main and High streets at 5:03 p.m. Oct. 31. Bellegarde’s 2003 Dodge pickup truck sustained $3,000 damage.
* A vehicle driven by Ric Ricard, 64, of Oakley, Calif., ran into a ditch as he was traveling west on Route 2 near the Common Road at 3:45 p.m. Oct. 24. Ricard apparently fell asleep. The 2010 Mazda four-door crossed the eastbound lane and hit a culvert. The vehicle sustained $10,000 damage.
Drug charges
* Chad Fournier, 23, of Pine Street, Dixfield, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a search warrant was issued for his Pine Street home on Nov. 15. Additional marijuana and associated paraphernalia were also found in his truck, along with a weapon. He was released and scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Jan. 4. Because a weapon was found with the drugs in the pickup, the matter has also been referred to the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Thefts
* An Ellis Avenue resident reported at 9 a.m. Nov. 2 that someone had stolen $60 from her purse. Police have suspects.
* A Leavitt Street, Mexico, resident reported at 10 p.m. Nov. 2 that someone stole his credit card when he was in Dixfield and used it to make online purchases or cash advances totalling $510. Police have leads.
Vandalism
* A Strong resident reported at 9:15 p.m. Nov. 10 that someone broke the windows of his pickup truck when it was parked at Dirigo High School. The damage estimate is unknown.
