RANGELEY — Katie L. Lawrence and Thomas J. Torrington were married July 17 at Saddleback Resort in Rangeley. The ceremony took place on the deck outside the lodge overlooking Saddleback Mountain. The Rev. Alan Shumway officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Sally Lawrence of Farmington. The bridegroom is the son of Rawn and Judith Torrington of Manchester.

Rachel and Jennifer Lawrence, sisters-in-law of the bride, and Jordyn Lawrence, niece of the bride, were attendants for the bride. Erin Lawrence, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Shannon Lawrence, niece of the bride, played a violin selection while Colton Lawrence, nephew of the bride, videoed the ceremony.

Groomsmen were Adam Cutter and Aaron Cutter, friends of the bridegroom. Curtis, Keith and Peter Lawrence, brothers of the bride, were ushers.

A reception was held at the base lodge immediately following the ceremony. The sendoff was highlighted by a fireworks display and the couple’s rendition of the final dance was from the movie “Dirty Dancing.”

The bride is a graduate of Mt. Blue High School and earned her degree in education from the University of Maine in Farmington in 2003. She is a first-grade teacher at the Hilton Head School of Creative Arts in Hilton Head, S.C.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Winthrop High School and earned his degree in business administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2003. He is a Hank Haney Pro Association instructor and teaches golf at the Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy in Hilton Head, S.C.

Following a honeymoon to the islands of Moorea and Bora Bora in Tahiti, the couple is making their home at Pinecrest in Bluffton, S.C.
