A story that appeared on Page A1 on Wednesday about Buddy McLain, a Peru soldier who died in Afghanistan on Monday, should have said McLain first met his infant son in September 2009. He was deployed to Afghanistan for one year from Fort Campbell, Ky., on Aug. 24, 2010. The information was incorrectly provided to the Sun Journal.
