PARIS — The Paris Public Library Children’s Room is holding its Adopt-A-Children’s-Book fundraiser again this holiday season.
The Children’s Room staff have selected more than 30 classic children’s books they wish to add or replace in the library’s collection, decorating a Christmas tree with note cards of the various books’ covers and costs.
Donors are asked to select from the tree the note card of a book, or books, they are interested in donating to the library’s collection.
Donors, by filling out the note cards, may give the books in honor, or in memory, of others, with the gifts commemorated on bookplates and on certificates, which may be given to the honorees.
The prices of the books vary from $5 to $13. Last year, 40 books were adopted.
