Coach: Nate Pelletier (sixth year)

Last year’s record: 12-7, lost in Eastern A quarterfinals.

Returning letter winners: Senior — Dayna Schultz (5-6 guard); Juniors  —Abbie Morton (5-5 guard), Ashley West (5-6 guard); Sophomores  — Abbie Eastman (5-4 guard), Alex Rowe (5-8 forward), Kelsey DeBlois (5-8 forward).

Key losses: Lindsay Fox (guard), Megan Joyce (center), Allie Nolan (forward), Caitlin Hanley (guard), Brooke Ladd (guard).

Promising newcomers: Junior — Crissy Lewis (5-11 forward); Freshmen — Brooke Murch (5-8 forward), Crystal West (5-6 guard), Claire Gregory (5-8 forward).

Outlook:

The Vikings are very young and inexperienced at the varsity level. Eastman, at point guard, is the only starter back. She was an all-rookie selection as a freshman in the KVAC.  Lewis, a transfer from Edward Little, saw quality varsity minutes in the post last year and was a KVAC honorable mention. The rest of the squad is unproven at this level. Pelletier’s squads typically work hard and play sound defense. If the offense comes around and the team gains some confidence, the Vikings should improve quickly.

 Coach’s comment:

“With only one returning starter, this year will have its ups and downs. We will be very competitive night in and night out. The transformation of this team from the start to the end will be very exciting to watch. We have the ability to run and gun or slow it down. Our overall goal is to get into the playoffs and see what happens.” — Coach Nate Pelletier.
