Key losses: Tyler Arsenault, Cory Staples, Andy Emery, Justin White, Derek Pamphrey.
Promising newcomers: Seniors — Josh Lapointe (6-0 guard/forward), Zach Barter (6-4 forward), Tyler Ward (5-9 guard); Juniors — Tyler Foster (6-0 guard), Chase Hopkins (6-0 forward); Sophomore — Hunter Kilgore (5-7 guard); Freshman — Zach Steele (5-7 guard).
Outlook: Once a tournament fixture and separated by three years from its last Class C championship, Winthrop basically is starting over. The Ramblers have only 15 players in the entire program. Gordon is the lone returning starter. Conant, Castonguay, Luce and Barter have enjoyed success in football, and Pelkey hopes that experience and their senior leadership will pay dividends.
